As you know, a rather large earthquake hit the Tohoku region on March 16, 2022.
\nAfter that, we received many e-mails from many people to confirm our safety.
\nWe would like to announce we are all safe in our laborotory member.

\nThe shaking was so large that it was difficult to stand even though I lived on the first floor in my residence.
\nIchotsubo Lab is located on the 8th floor of the Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University, so there were several pieces of equipment that toppled over due to the large quake.
\nHowever, we had taken earthquake countermeasures since the earthquake in 2021, so the damage was minimized.
\nGel pads are essential for PCs and monitors, and large equipment must be bolted down. Glove boxes, which can be dangerous if exposed to the atmosphere, should always have flexible gas connections and enough length of connectors.
\nEven equipment that can be optionally used and detached should be stored under the floor in a case, not on a desk. <\/p>\n
