As you know, a rather large earthquake hit the Tohoku region on March 16, 2022.
After that, we received many e-mails from many people to confirm our safety.
We would like to announce we are all safe in our laborotory member.
ご存じの通り3月16日に結構大きな地震が東北地方を中心に起きました．
その後，多くの皆さんから安否確認のメールなどたくさん頂きましたこと御礼申し上げます．
人身的には，全員が無事であったことがまず何よりです．

The shaking was so large that it was difficult to stand even though I lived on the first floor in my residence.
Ichotsubo Lab is located on the 8th floor of the Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University, so there were several pieces of equipment that toppled over due to the large quake.
However, we had taken earthquake countermeasures since the earthquake in 2021, so the damage was minimized.
Gel pads are essential for PCs and monitors, and large equipment must be bolted down. Glove boxes, which can be dangerous if exposed to the atmosphere, should always have flexible gas connections and enough length of connectors.
Even equipment that can be optionally used and detached should be stored under the floor in a case, not on a desk.

かなり大きく揺れて，1階に居住しているにもかかわらず立つのが難しいくらいの横揺れでした.
市坪研は，東北大学金属材料研究所の8階に研究室を構えているので，大きな揺れにより装置などが転倒するというものも数点ありました．
ただ，2021年に起こった地震の後にも，地震対策をしていたこともあり，被害は最小限にすんだと思います．
PCやモニターなどはジェルパットが必須であり，大きな装置はボルトダウンが必須です．大気暴露すれば危険なグローブボックスなどは，ガスの接続口は必ずフレキシブルにして余裕を持たせておく必要があります．
オプション的に使い脱装着させる備品でも，机上においておくことはせずに，必ずケースに入れて床下に保管するなど，対策が必要です．
